Yes, there will always be somethin you can do. I have had pretty rough injuries to both shoulders multiple times, hip, lower back in various ways, chest, ribs, hands, had surgeries, sports injuries, car crashes and concussions. And only 1 of those injuries was in the gym. Unless your whole body needs to rest from the injury there is always something you can do. The longer you do nothing the harder it will be to come back from it. Get back to some sort of training as soon as your able. Outside of my own injuries I have also helped lots of clients deal with their own injuries, things that come up from past injuries, twinges or knocks and especially balancing out postural aches and pains. I love helping people improve fitness, posture and come back from injuries.
